The Core Operational Pillars of the Sea Point City Improvement District (SPCID)

Safety & Security

Safety and Security remain the cornerstone of the Sea Point CID’s approach to effective service delivery.

Urban Management

The Cleaning Teams take on the vital task of maintaining a clean, safe, and visually appealing SPCID area.

Social Development

We work closely with the most vulnerable members of our community on a daily basis, focusing on guiding people living on the street toward appropriate support services and, where possible, facilitating reunification with their families.

Since 1998

Serving Sea Point for over 28 Years

The success of the Sea Point City Improvement District (CID) is the result of strong collaboration between various City of Cape Town departments, key service providers, and our valued partnerships with the South African Police Service, City Law Enforcement, Traffic Services, and Metro Police. Equally important is the continued support of property owners and business stakeholders within the CID boundary — and most importantly, the visitors and guests who bring life and vibrancy to Sea Point.

Keeping Sea Point Safe, Clean and Thriving

Safety & Security

Dedicated patrols and partnerships ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming Sea Point

Urban Management & Cleaning

Keeping Sea Point clean, maintained, and visually appealing every day.

Social Development

Supporting vulnerable individuals through outreach, assistance, and referrals to essential services.

Promoting Sea Point as a vibrant, attractive destination for residents, businesses, and visitors.

About us

Who we are

This mandate is delivered through a set of Operational Divisions that form the foundation of the CID model. These divisions are managed and overseen by the Office of the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and include Safety and Security, Urban Management, Social Development, Projects and Campaigns, as well as Marketing and Communications.
